More jewelry March 2021

I wish I were more consistent at blogging, but alas I am not. Here are a few of my latest creations. Exclusively sold at The Ohio Art Market in Westerville, OH.

This is one in a series of necklaces I call my Renaissance Collection. They are inspired by Catholic rosary prayer beads.

I haven't been able to create many ceramic pieces. The local community centers have been closed due to the COVID pandemic, which means ceramic classes are null as well. Here is one teapot that I was able to finish.

I used a dark brown clay (Standard Clay #266) and then glazed with Amaco saturation gold.

Experimenting with teapots and other organic forms. All slab and hand built.
Amaco Sky celadon glaze with black underglaze

This is a double sided vase with a slit opening at the top. An interesting idea, but major construction issues.

Sgraffito teapot. Black underglaze, Buff clay. Sky glaze.

Amaco Ancient Jasper glaze on small teapot. I need to do more experimenting with this glaze. It has some interesting effects, but ran like Usain Bolt.
