where has time gone?

The last couple months have been a blur. In December, I found myself behind the eight-ball...trying to keep up with creating inventory. Which is a good thing, but I certainly wasn't ready for the holiday shopping season!

Early December I decided to move my double circle necklace from the Ohio Art Market to the Cultural Arts Center gift shop. There had been some interest in it, but no buyers, so I thought that maybe a change of venue would help to get it sold. A couple days later I received an email from a young man (let's say his name is John) who had been in the OAM with his girlfriend a couple weeks earlier. He had gone back to the store looking for the double circle necklace and was disappointed to find that it was gone. His girlfriend had commented that she like it, so he was going to purchase it for her for Christmas. (I know...how cool is that!) Long story short, I called the CAC and fortunately they still had it in stock, so I pulled it from there and dropped it back at The Ohio Art Market. I checked back in with 'John' after Christmas to see how his girlfriend responded to his gift and he said that she cried when she opened it. He told me that when they first saw the necklace, it had been their first date. I told him that was the sweetest thing I'd ever heard and that he was my hero. =)

Valentine's Day is just around the corner so I've been busy creating some 'love' themed merchandise. If the weather cooperates, I'm going into the OAM tomorrow morning to restock my case. Here are some of the things I've been working on.

This is a 'found objects' bracelet made from antiqued brass and vintage jewelry parts.
